This past July, I had the honor of photographing Mark and Lauren’s wedding at Twin Creeks Farm, and to say it was special would be an understatement. Their day was filled with so much love, intentionality, and beauty—it was the kind of wedding that reminds you why intimate celebrations can be just as powerful as grand affairs.

Mark and Lauren chose to exchange vows at the venue’s pond-side ceremony site (the pond is shaped liked a heart – SWOON), a peaceful and romantic setting where the water reflects the towering trees and the sky above. The soft rustling of the breeze through the grass and the gentle chirping of birds made the whole experience feel like a scene from a dream. Their color palette of purples and greens perfectly complemented the natural surroundings, adding a fresh, organic touch to the day. It was only about 80 degrees and perfectly clear skies, which is refreshing for a July weekend!

What I loved most about their wedding was how it felt completely them—no over-the-top frills, just a heartfelt celebration surrounded by their closest loved ones. The joy on their faces, the quiet moments of hand-holding, and the way they looked at each other throughout the day made every photo I captured feel like a piece of their story.

A Styled Shoot to Remember—Alpacas & Deep Blue Editorial Elegance

Before Mark and Lauren’s wedding, my first experience photographing at Twin Creeks Farm was during a styled shoot in 2020—one that was so stunning it was featured in Rocky Mountain Bride! This shoot was all about mixing bold, moody elegance with a touch of whimsy, and it couldn’t have come together more beautifully.

Our color palette was deep blue and copper, bringing a sophisticated yet warm aesthetic to the venue’s rustic backdrop. But the real showstoppers? The alpacas! Yes, we had the most adorable, fluffy wedding guests roaming the venue alongside the bride and groom. It added such a fun and unexpected element, making for some truly unforgettable photos. We playfully named this shoot Alpacaly Ever After.

We also went big on florals—lush arrangements spilling over tables, delicate blooms woven into the bride’s hair, and a floral installation that framed the ceremony space in the most enchanting way. The end result? A dreamy, editorial-style elopement inspiration that showcased just how versatile Twin Creeks Farm can be for different wedding visions.
