This is a hot topic and something so important that comes up during wedding planning. During my consultations with my brides we discuss this, so I thought it may be beneficial to do a blog post about why!

I gift every one of my brides and grooms a complimentary engagement session for booking their wedding with me. This is a FUN filled session where we get to know each other while getting those in-front-of-the-camera jitters out before the wedding. It’s just not my style to show up on a couple’s wedding day without having built a relationship with them prior to their important day. Getting to know your wedding vendors builds trust, and therefore creates an environment where vendors can do their best work. Attending weddings as your friend and vendor makes the day feel more personal and allows me to make choices based on what I know is best for you, and allows my couples to think “Kali’s got it” when I’m taking care of you throughout the day.

This session also allows us to find your good angles, and get a feel for how I pose couples during portrait time. When it comes to wedding day photos, I want it to be mindless (for you!) and allow me to take the reigns knowing that you will LOVE your photos because you already loved your photos from the previous session we had.

I very much recommend taking advantage of this session because… well you’re going to allow me to maximize your investment and experience from the very beginning!
