A Session with KP
As a people-centered photographer, I’m intentionally passionate about giving all of my clients the very best experience possible and capturing tangible memories for every season of their lives. I specialize in seniors, weddings and portraits. I’m often asked what kind of photography is my favorite, and truly, it depends on the day! I’m so passionate about getting to know my clients, and my favorites are those that I build a connection with and am able to get to know them better through my work.
1. Let’s Chat
Once you have decided that you love my photography and want to book a session, contact me! I’ll be so excited to hear from you and will probably do a little happy dance!
2. Plan the Details
In order a book a photo session with me, you will need to complete a questionnaire, agreement and invoice. These will be sent to you through email and are due back to me in order to hold a date. Unfortunately all of my dates are at a first come, first serve basis, and book quickly during most seasons, so its important that you get those back to me as quickly as you can! The questionnaire will help me understand some of the details of your shoot and be able to plan your photoshoot experience based on the vision you have for your pictures. I’m readily available for any questions or concerns that can arise before the session, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
3. Your Session Day
Prepare to have a blast at your session! We will meet at the agreed upon time and location, and from there we will shoot for your selected time period! Don’t worry about any modeling experience, as I will teach you everything I know about being in front of the camera, including posing, facial expressions, and hand placement. I’ll probably ask you to do all sorts of silly things like touch noses with your partner or walk slowly toward me. It might be nerve racking prior to your session, but I promise that once you are there, if you go with the flow, you will be pleasantly surprised!
4. My Editing Process
After your session, I will carefully cull through the hundreds of pictures I take to find the very best of the bunch, making sure that each and every one looks their very best! I’m very careful not to heavily Photoshop my images, so my clients receive a gallery full of images where they look their most natural and beautiful selves. However, I do remove minor blemishes and redness, unless otherwise asked. One of the best compliments that I can receive from someone is that the images that I provide to them are exactly as they remember the subject – joyful, natural and glowing.
5. The Reveal
After your session, I try very hard to post a sneak peak (or two!) from every session that I shoot. Sometimes this is not possible due to my turnaround times and the season we are in, however it is something that I try really hard to make happen so your nerves are settled and you know they are amazing! Within 2-3 weeks following your session, you will receive an email with your beautifully edited online gallery with all of the images that turned out from your session.
6. Order Prints
From your gallery, you can save the web sized images to share online. All of your digital images are included in your session fee! My personalized pricing structure allows for much lower session fees, which allow my clients to pick whether digital image or print options are the right choice for them, and order accordingly. Digital image purchases start at $75 for the entire gallery, which will allow you to keep all the images with a print release for printing at a later time. You can also purchase prints and print products, which are based on an “A La Carte” system, so you can purchase individual products and build your own personalized packages.
